A Top-Notch Collection of Tunes
Last year Hogan and Limerick Live 95FM's Green and Live show set about putting together the tracklisting for a compilation album to highlight the many brilliantly diverse bands and solo artists making music in Limerick city.
The resulting album, Tonelist, features a top-notch collection of tunes by better known Limerick acts such as We Should Be Dead, Giveamanakick, Vesta Varro, Headgear and Noel Hogan's latest project Arkitekt, alongside some up and coming names worth taking notice of including Drumming Room, Supermodel Twins, Pio, The Brad Pitt Light Orchestra, Alkali Flat, Seneca, Brendan Markham, Walter Mitty And The Realists, and Mark O'Connor.
A Celebration of Limerick's Music Scene
According to Noel Hogan of Gohan Records: “This CD is first and foremost a celebration of Limerick's rich and diverse music scene. There are so many great bands and singers in Limerick doing great work right now and they really deserve to be heard by a larger audience.”
“The objective is to highlight the huge amount of wonderful music being created locally and to give it a springboard onto the national stage,” said Hogan.
Limerick-based label, Gohan Records (Monoband, Arkitekt), is now giving the city and county's rising, young musical stars the opportunity to get their wares out to a wider audience with the release of this compilation album featuring the very best local talent.
